ZEST AIRWAYS, INC., known for its brand name as ZEST AIR was established on March 26,2008 by AMY Holdings Corp. as it sees the opportunity for growth in the airline and aviation industry. ZEST AIR initially operated to 16 local destinations and has now grown over twenty (20) domestic destinations with increased flight frequencies in all its Airbus destinations. 

On December 2009, ZEST AIR launched its international flights initially to Incheon, Korea from Kalibo, gateway to the world-class beach Boracay utilizing its 162-180 seater Airbus 320s. Today, ZEST AIR has linked the Philippines to Korea, aside from its Kalibo flights through Cebu-Busan and Cebu-Incheon. Early January 2011, ZEST AIR opened the Kalibo-Shanghai route to cater to the market from mainland China through its partnership with consortium of Travel Agencies.
